Safarilink Aviation is a regional Kenyan airline, headquartered at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, which was founded in 2004. The airline markets itself as “Kenya’s premier safari airline” and during peak months will ferry up to 20,000 passengers, mostly foreign tourists who are in Kenya for a safari holiday. It operates as Safarilink and maintains a fleet of 12 aircraft. This includes eight Cessna 208B Caravan’s, which can hold just 12 passengers, as well as a handful of larger aircraft. The majority of its routes are internal, with regular flights servicing destinations including Samburu, Masai Mara, Amboseli, Naivasha & Tsavio West National Park, some of the country’s main wildlife reserves. There are also flights between Kenya and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, as well as the semi-autonomous Tanzanian island of Zanzibar.

The airline also offers charter services which are popular with rich foreign visitors looking to tailor their own safari. With such a reliance on the country’s wildlife for bookings, Safarilink is engaged in several charitable practices – 5% of the cost of each ticket is donated to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and the airline also funded a tree-planting project at Mount Kenya in 2009.
