Middle East Airlines is the national flag carrier of Lebanon, headquartered in Beirut and with its main base of operations at the city’s Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport, Lebanon’s only operational commercial airport. Founded in 1945, it is one of the Middle East’s oldest airlines. A member of the SkyTeam alliance, it offers direct flight connections to a host of European, African and Middle Eastern destinations. In Europe, two daily flights are offered to Paris and London, whilst there are daily or twice daily services to Riyadh, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Amman, Cairo and Istanbul. Limited African coverage includes flights to Abidjan, Lagos and Accra.

MEA’s fleet is predominantly comprised of 1984 Airbus A320-200’s and 1994 Airbus A321’s, though there are a handful of other aircraft in operation. The airline also operates two Embraer Legacy 500’s through a subsidiary, Cedar Executive Fleet.
