Edelweiss Air

Edelweiss Air is headquartered in Zurich and owned by Lufthansa. The Swiss flag carrier, Swiss International Air Lines is a parent company, also owned by the German behemoth. Founded in 1995, it operates flights to mostly European destinations, including Larnaca, Rovaniemi, Santorini, Reykjavik, Pisa, Bergen and Tenerife, many on a seasonal basis. There are a few long-haul routes too, with destinations in Vietnam, the USA, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Morocco, Mexico, Egypt and Canada offered. And in 2025, the airline plans to resume services to Halifax in Canada, Giza in Egypt, Amman in Jordan, Salalah in Oman and Seattle in the US.

Edelweiss Air currently operates 19 aircraft, including a mixture of Airbus A320-200 and five Airbus A340-300 models. These will be replaced with six newer Airbus A350-900 aircraft in 2025.
