Canada’s flag carrier and largest airline is based in Saint-Laurent, Quebec and has hubs across the country, in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Founded in 1937, it was a founding member of the Star Alliance and operates more than 180 aircraft on its domestic and international flight network. It operates a mixture of Airbus and Boeing models and has diverged into various different enterprises with the founding of Air Canada Cargo, a charter airline known as Air Canada Jetz and a low-cost leisure airline, Air Canada Rouge. More than 1,600 flights are operated on any given day.

As well as connecting Canada’s fragmented cities, such as Winnipeg, Calgary, Saskatoon, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and Edmonton, Air Canada flies to a large number of international destinations in Europe, the US, Central and South America, the Caribbean and the Middle East. There are also flights connecting Canada to Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland, and a handful of North African destinations including Algiers and Casablanca.
