AeroItalia was launched in 2022 and operates mainly domestic Italian passenger services. It operates largely out of Rome, Bergamo and Comiso, though also has an operating base in Bacau, Romania. Domestic destinations include Alghero, Bologna, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Pisa and Verona. The airline once served international destinations including Vienna, Mykonos, Barcelona and London, though these routes have mostly been terminated in the face of stiff competition, with the company choosing instead to focus on its domestic passenger services.

AeroItalia operates a fleet of 13 aircraft, with the majority being Boeing 737-800 models. It is also awaiting a delayed order for three of the troubled Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

In 2023, AeroItalia became the majority shareholder in AirConnect, a regional airline based in Romania. This was rebranded as AeroItalia Regional in 2024 and explains the extensive Romanian operations of the airline.
