Aero Contractors

This state-controlled Nigerian airline is based in Lagos, at the city’s Lagos Murtala Muhammed Airport. Founded in 1959, it also has a hub at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Ikeja. The airline briefly became a victim to Nigeria’s economic woes when all flights were suspended in September 2016, however by December of that year some routes were operating again, and flights have continued since.

Aero Contractors operates passenger services mainly connecting domestic destinations within Nigeria. It has routes to cities including Abuja, Kano, Sokoto, Yola and Benin City. There are also a handful of international service to African countries such as Ghana.

Aero Contractors also operates cargo services and has a fleet of helicopters, which are mostly involved in the country’s important oil and gas industry, in areas such as offshore transport and medical services. VIP’s can also book charter flights with the airline.
